2. David Harvey

Leeds United v Arsenal (1-0) F.A.Cup Final 1972 at Wembley. LeedLeeds fans love a homegrown hero and David Harvey stands proudly amongst the best of them. 349 appearances over two spells for Leeds United, Harvey spent the first half of Don Revie’s era as understudy to Gary Sprake, but a knee injury which forced Sprake to miss out on the 1972 Centenary FA Cup final gave Harvey his chance to shine.

The Whites went on to win our one and only FA Cup 1-0 against Arsenal and from there on, Harvey became number one choice ahead of Gary Sprake, picking up the League title in 1974. He also played in Cup Winners Cup final of ’73 and another FA Cup final the same year, losing out in both.
