Rodolph Austin has told Norwegian TV channel, TV2, that he wants to join Leeds United.

With his contract due to expire in December The Jamaican international said he feels this is the best way for him to part ways with SK Brann, admitting that he’s ready to say goodbye to the fans in Norway.

TV2 claim that SK Brann want Leeds United to double their original offer to complete the deal. It’s believed Neil Warnock’s opening offer was somewhere in the region of £250k, a fraction of the £2,000,000 price-tag SK Brann placed on Austin a couple of years back when Warnock tried to sign him for Queen’s Park Rangers.

Austin today scored what could have been his last goal for SK Brann as they destroyed Odd Grenland 6-2. Commenting on his long-range strike, the midfielder said afterwards “If this is my last game here, that’s the perfect end;”
