Tom Palmer - Foul Play

Tom Palmer is a Leeds fan – and a children’s author. His Foul Play and Football Academy series are published by Puffin books. TSS is offering you the chance to win a full set of his children’s books for someone in your family, all signed by the author.

Tom’s FOUL PLAY series (9+) is about football and crime. Who has kidnapped Danny Harte’s favourite player? Who is burgling the team’s houses while they are playing away? And why is a Russian billionnaire trying to murder England internationals? The Foul Play series is set in Leeds.

His FOOTBALL ACADEMY series (7+) is about an English football team’s academy under-twelve team, all six books making up a season.

Tom tried to get his books published for years, being rejected by dozens of agents… until he heard about a literary agent who also supports Leeds. That agent got him an eight book deal with Puffin Books, proving that Leeds fans look after each other.

To win all ten books, please answer the following question: Which former Leeds United defender shares his surname with the hero of his Foul Play books, Danny Harte?

All you have to do to enter is email TSS with your answer using the online form. The closing date for entries is Monday the 20th of December at 5pm, when the winner will be drawn and notified by email.

Errrr, beating QPR wasn’t in the script. 2nd in the Championship? GULP! They can’t go and do it can they? Can they?

I was listening on the radio – did you hear the volume about 50-55 minutes in? You could hardly hear the commentators. Radio 5 said it was like a Spanish atmosphere, like a Champion League game. But then again WACCOE!!
