As Britain froze, Leeds started to fail.

Happy Christmas from TSS

Another great year comes to a close for Leeds United, and indeed for The Scratching Shed.

As always, we’d like to thank everyone who has visited the site over the last twelve months, whether it was to comment on a post, share your views or simply to read what myself and the rest of the team have been discussing.

Special thanks go out to the Leeds United fans in New York and across America alongside those in Dubai and everyone else who has featured on the site this year.

Whilst we enjoy the festive period and spend time with our families, we’d like to pay tribute to the armed forces serving overseas and to their families and friends for whom Christmas is just another day closer to them being reunited with their loved ones. Our thoughts are with you all.

On a lighter note, we feel it is important everyone understands what Christmas is really about and to that end, we leave you pondering the timeless words of the great philosopher, Bartholomew J Simpson;

“Aren’t we forgetting the true meaning of Christmas? You know… the birth of Santa.”

Wherever you are in the world on this day of indulgence and excess, from everyone here at The Scratching Shed we wish you all a very happy Christmas!
