Just over an hour ago (around 16:30pm) the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that Jack Charlton had been in hospital on the Costa Blanca after collapsing whilst on holiday.

Jack had complained about pains in his eyes and has since had various scans that have so far proved inconclusive. The World Cup winner and Leeds United legend was discharged after three days with drugs to treat high blood pressure.

Charlton spent his entire career at Leeds United playing under the legendary Don Revie. Jack made 773 league appearences for the Whites scoring 96 goals, winning the League title, League Cup, Fairs Cup and FA Cup in the process. He was also part of the 1966 World Cup winning England side.

I’m sure I speak on behalf of all Leeds United fans in sending Jack Charlton my best wishes. I hope the problems are nothing serious and he gets back to full health as soon as possible.
