When David ‘Pressure’ Hockaday isn’t blagging his way into the top job at Championship football clubs, he spends his time training Game of Thrones stars to sword fight, or at least, that’s what Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, one of the stars of HBO’s Game of Throne series told fans at Comic-Con.

“I had a great teacher once, called Dave Hockaday… but that was years ago, he’s in Leeds now.”

It’s unclear as to why Nickolaj came out with the comment – a bet, maybe? – but he’s from Denmark and if our visitors logs are anything to go by, Leeds United have quite a large fanbase out there.

A clip featuring the comment is below. You can also click here to see the full panel on the official Game of Thrones YouTube channel (Nickolaj’s comment comes around the 21m mark).

Yeah,,, and Darth Vader too. Bet he’s a real one with the ladies as well.
Is this the start of the ‘infill’ for the International Break?.

Haha, did you see my idea of Summer infill? I posted almost nothing for two months. That said, if other Game of Thrones stars come out and reveal they were trained by The Hock, you can be sure we’ll be covering it

Ha…. ‘The Hock’. Got to be an entire site for him somewhere. You could be just the man. Seriously… I did read somewhere, while entertaining a glass or two, Hock is a very proficient swordsman. Have no details but I’m sure your research department will sort it.

Cant wait for further ‘infills’…. Great work. Thanks.

Ralph Ineson could have put him up to it. He’s a massive Leeds fan.
