Without kicking a ball, Rodolph Austin has already become a Leeds United cult hero.

Confirmation from SK Brann’s CEO and Leeds United manager Neil Warnock that The Whites are trying to sign the “Jamaican Warrior” has sent our fans into a complete frenzy.

On Twitter, the hashtag #RodolphAustinfacts is being used to pay tribute to the Jamaican midfield with amusing tweets the order of the day. Here’s a selection of the ones posted so far.

News of the Twitter trend has already reached SK Brann’s local newspaper and is sure to reach the man himself.

All this excitement based on a few – albeit, very encouraging – YouTube videos and some glowing endorsements from overseas fans who have seen him play regularly.

It’s incredibly pleasing to see a potential signing getting the Leeds United fans excited. In the four years since this site was founded, I can’t recall a single player having such a positive effect before he’d even signed on the dotted line. Or indeed, afterwards! Warnock, sign him up…
