Local newspapers in Leicester are reporting that Lee Peltier is close to agreeing a transfer to Leeds United.

The Leicester Mercury claims that the fee Leeds United will pay for the Leicester City full-back is around £350k. The 25-year-old Liverpool born defender was an ever-present in Leicester City’s side last season, making 44 appearances following his £750,000 summer transfer from Huddersfield Town.

Elsewhere, rumours that Paddy Kenny is set for his third spell under Neil Warnock refuse to go away. The former Irish international goalkeeper is expected to leave QPR, with the Hoops rumoured to be closing in on a deal for Rob Green.

It’s been widely reported that QPR will be willing to accept a fee of around £500k for Kenny, but only after they’ve secured the services of a new goalkeeper.

Leeds United fans have reacted to the rumours with some scepticism, questioning where the £850,000 required to sign both of these players will come from after the club were unable to find £400,000 to secure the transfer of Joel Ward last month.
