Former Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has joined the race for one of the players believed to be on Neil Warnock’s shopping list.

Leicester City are said to be looking for a fee of around £500,000 for right-back Lee Peltier, but any deal taking him to Elland Road will most likely depend on the outcome of ongoing takeover talks at the club.

This has given Huddersfield Town the chance to act. Funded by multi-millionaire chairman Dean Hoyte, The Terriers have no shortage of cash at their disposal and won’t have any issues coming up with Leicester City’s asking price. This could leave Leeds United out in the cold as Leicester look to offload unwanted players quickly and start shaping their squad for next season.

Elsewhere, Aidy White will become a free agent at the end of this month. Neil Warnock previously stated that he expected the talented youngster to leave the club despite the offer of a new and improved deal at Elland Road. Leeds United will be due compensation for White (due to his age) if he does sign for another club.

Finally, former Leeds United target Keith Andrews is one of the most appealing names on the Premier League released list. Andrews, who spent the end of last season at West Bromwich Albion following a loan spell at Ipswich Town, is being linked with a move to Glasgow Celtic but is sure to attract attention from Championship clubs as well.
