Hard to believe it’s been 12 years since myself and hundreds of other Leeds United fans travelled to Turkey to watch our team take on Galatasaray in the UEFA Cup semi final.

A trip that should have been remembered for the rapid progress Leeds United were making with a team built upon homegrown youth talent, will instead be forever remembered as a journey we returned from minus two of our own.

Everything that can be said about that horrific night has been written and rewritten countless times over the years. UEFA refusing to punish the Turkish Football Association for their ongoing failure to protect travelling supporters is something I’ll never forgive. The disgraceful Policing, the truly despicable fans of Galatasaray and Turkey’s ridiculous excuse for a justice system leave us all bitter, but today our united thoughts are with the families and friends of those we lost – the ongoing victims of this tragedy.

RIP Chris & Kev, you’ll never be forgotten!

Marching On Together.
