Mike Grella has made a loan move to League one Swindon Town until the end of the season.

Grella had been looking for a club since his spell at Carlisle United where he scored three times in eleven games. He looked set to be on his way to Motherwell earlier in the season but the move fell through as the SFA refused to sanction the move as it broke FIFA regulations. The 24 year old American has however been able complete his move to Swindon.

With opportunities scarce for Grella at Elland Road this season, it should provide some much needed competitive football.

Mike will join a number of players with a Leeds connection at Swindon with ex-Whites, Jonathan Douglas, Dave Lucas, David Prutton and Alan Sheehan all playing at the County Ground.

We’ll keep an eye on Grella and report back in our loan watch.
