Legends gather at Elland Road to raise money for Revie Statue

An all-star cast of Leeds United greats were at Elland Road on Wednesday (08/12) to help raise money for the new Don Revie Statue that is currently being sculptured.

In attendance was Jonny Giles, Allan Clarke, Mick Bates, Trevor Cherry, Norman Hunter, Paul Reaney, Mike O’Grady, Terry Yorath and the ever-present Eddie Gray and Peter Lorimer, who all signed limited edition magazines that will be sold to Leeds United fans to help raise money.

The magazines are available to order priced £25 for a copy signed by all ten former players, or £5 without. Money will also be raised through various events and private sponsorship, details of which can all be found on the website – http://www.donreviestatue.com/

The Scratching Shed contacted The Don Revie Tribute – who we thank for providing pictures – and they told us that things are progressing well. The statue is set to be unveiled in May 2012 to mark the 40th anniversary of our centenary FA Cup win.
