It’ll come as no surprise to Leeds United fans that Patrick Kisnorbo leads the way in The Scratching Shed’s player of the season poll.

Although now injured, Paddy’s contribution to Leeds United’s success this season has made him a massive hit with the fans and his injury has left a huge hole in the defence that we’ve struggled to fill.

Those that haven’t yet voted in the 2009/10 TSS player of the season poll can still do so below. The poll will remain open until midday on Sunday.

Fair enough Kisnorbo’s been a good player, but I think over 60% of the vote is a bit high. He’s been part of a recently (since Jan) leaky defence, so either he is truly brilliant but Naylor, Bromby, Higgs, Casper etc. have been woeful and at fault for the allowed goals or the vote is a bit unrealistic.

And how Becchio gets more votes than Beckford despite Becks scoring almost twice as many goals is beyond me.

I am with you on the Becchio/Beckford thing but there is a hard core that will never forgive Beckford for trying to better himself, after all that is all he did.

For me though you have hit the nail on the head with the Kisnorbo thing, he is brilliant and epitomises everything fans love to see in a player. There have been so many changes at the back and I think that has impacted the defensive performances.

To sum up and I have mentioned this before I live in Swindon, at the home and away games the locals here said Kisnorbo was the only player that was any good and the only player giving 100 %, and we got dicked in both games.

I assume Becchio was injured in the Swindon match then? I’ve never seen him give less that 100% for the team either.

No, the same can be said of Snoddy and Howson, but there’s so many errors in their game when they are having a bad game it looks as though they’re not entirely at the races.

Despite living in the town I wasn’t at either game but I trust the opinion of the people I know. If they tell me Paddy was head and shoulders above everyone else then I believe them.

Beckford scores 30 goals and doesn’t get the vote? Replace Beckford with Grella for the season and where would we be tomorrow afternoon? Mid table obscurity so Becks all the way sulking and all

    • Colin

Yeaaah! Maybe a late surge for Beckford on its way.

You just know that Beckford’s going to score the winner that clinches promotion, I hope!

  3. Paul South Wales

Yes hope he does and goes out on a high, he’s done as much for Leeds as Leeds has done for him, although I fear for his career if he leaves for the premiership. I wish him all the best, I just hope he gets a good send off tomorrow, then returns on loan to have a crack at the CCC. I think that’s about his level and he’d be a decent prospect, we’ll see. Gun um down and take us up Becks!!!! MOT

If we go up, I’m going to drink enough tomorrow night to potentially kill three fully grown shire horses!

I’ma gonna wait till tomorrow aft to submit my vote……….

Are there any measures in place to protect the fair voting?
I have voted three times ( only to check) and I don’t think so therefore the poll is crap as the rest suggests.

At a guess it’s done based on either your IP address or having cookies enabled on your pc but I know zip all about IT.

Either way it’s a fun good natured poll for fans, people will always find a way to abuse these things if they must.

Im sorry but i thought we were voting for the player of the season, not the top scorer. Kisnorbo, for me, has had so much more of an impact when he’s been in the team than Beckford has.

  8. Colin

What did I say!! Beckford to get the winner!!

Brilliant, Brilliant – great to be promoted!
