Last I saw he was fully fit when the final whistle went in the quarter-final of Angola’s 1-0 defeat to Ghana. I think he played in all four of Angola’s games too – so he can’t be that unfit.

Of course he might have gone over his ankle the second he landed back and Leeds/Bradford Airport, but it does seem odd that he’s entirely fit for a major international tournament but we all presume he’s injured or unfit for Leeds against the likes of Walsall.

Mind, no doubt I am just categorically wrong and he’s struggling with a career-ending injury right now.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we gained full points against those difficult ties; it’d be completely against the form book, but football’s funny like that.

Whichever team goes out for the next game – it really has to be a win. We’ve got some tough away ties in the run in – Away to Norwich, Southampton, Charlton & Huddersfield and throw in home games against Millwall, Swindon and MK Dons into the mix as well.

Not a good run in at all. I think we need to get some points asap!

I didn’t go to the Swindon game as I was away on business but I do live in the Town. Inbetween taking the mickey my Swindon loving friends said the only one of our team they were even remotely impressed with was Paddy.

Nayls looks like he is doing a Lubo, great first year. Nowt like as good the next. He reminds me a bit of Paul Butler (anyone remember him?) I agree we need Paddy back, but don’t forget he was in the team when we got turned over by Exeter and Swindon so the problem is more than one player.
Grayson needs to sit the whole squad down and remind them just how important it is we get out of this league. Play every remaining game as if its a cup final (isn’t that what the other teams do to us?)
Get Hughesy back instead of Crowe and rescue Rui from wherever he has disappeared to and we might be able to return to the defensive shut outs we saw at the start of the year.
Also get Tres back in there – he scares league one defences – and Robbo too. Why not play Grella in the ‘hole’ too behind a main striker – just an idea. He is a good link-up player, has quick feet and could offer us something new in that position.
