I wasn’t there but got the jist of it on the radio. I was surprised that Gradel started as he only seems effective coming on for the last 20. I truly thought Grella deserved a start and Capaldi……? Not impressed with Hogan whats his name either. It seems Grayson always plays these loan guys when we have better in our own squad. We must win the next three league games as there is a little wobble at the moment.

why is Simon persisting with Capaldi? he was terrible against Huddersfield & not much better at Oldham, surely Aidan White is a much more talented left back & to be honest I think it’s time for Beckford to have a spell on the bench as he’s turned into Mr Sitter!

I suggest that Simon Grayson and whoever else is blaming the pitch looks at the Glory Years video as those mud baths didn’t stop Giles, Bremner, Gray, Lorimer playing perfect football. We should be training on pitches like that. If you train on the worst surfaces possible it can only make it easier when you play on a good surface where as if you train only on the best surface it is harder to adapt to the lesser surfaces

Most the pitches are actually quite OK. None of them are likely to be the same standard as ER, but you’d be surprised how well these small clubs look after their grounds. Think this was one of the worst I’ve seen, but no excuse as you say.

This is league one there are going to be bad pitches,we’ve got toget on with it and scrap it out,everyone else has to.

Yes agree it’s great to see Kisnorbo back in the starting line up,and equally good to see Naylor on the bench, hopefully he can be eased back into it on Tuesday night. Snodgrass is a big miss and would have probably done some damage if he’d been there, he seems to be able to scrap if need be. Our big squad will be called upon in the next few weeks and hopefully this will give us a big advantage over our closest rivals. MOT
